The Eighth Grade Graduation Ceremony will be held this Thursday, May 23rd from 5:30 until 6:45 in the evening.  The ceremony will be held in the Lake Park Baptist School chapel. Eleven Lake Park Baptist School Running Club members and their families ran the 5K Turtle Trot Race, on Saturday May 5th, at Carlin Park. Because of our large number of participants we were awarded the “Largest Team Award”! Everyone did great with several of our runners bringing home their own individual awards for placing in their age group! Very exciting!

Thank you to all who joined in this great event and helped promote Lake Park Baptist School at the same time. We are so proud of each of you! Come out and join us next year!

Lake Park Baptist was blessed to have been visited by Jenny Cote, author of the book series “The Amazing Tales of Max and Liz” today for a brief visit and a book signing.

During her visit Mrs. Cote explained the ideas in her book. Students learned that Max is her dog, and Liz is her cat. In the first book of the series, they go back in time to be on Noah’s Ark. The books are wonderfully written, and Scripturally sound. Parents can order Mrs. Cote’s books this afternoon until 6:00, or on Monday. Jenny L. Cote will autograph the books for your child! Stop by the Book Fair when you pick up your child and take a look.
