Curriculum

Our Curriculum
Lake Park Baptist primarily uses the A Beka curriculum, published by Pensacola Christian College, for student instruction.  The A Beka curriculum provides a Christian world view and benefits the student both spiritually and intellectually.   A complete guide to our curriculum and the learning goals set forth for each grade is available below.

Student Enrichment
Student enrichment activities are an integral part of Lake Park Baptist and encourage the development of well-rounded stewards of God.  Elementary and Middle school students attend regularly scheduled courses in art, technology, music, athletics, and library/ research.  Additionally, students may attend any of our extra-curricular sports and activities.

Curriculum by Grade

Preschool-2
Preschool-2
Preschool-2 students are introduced to the alphabet and numbers through the A-Beka curriculum.  We have a literacy enriched environment.  Children develop gross motor skills through weekly physical education, organized games and outdoor activities.  Children learn through story time, flannel board activities, tactile activities and verbal communication.  Creativity is encouraged through hands-on art projects including painting, coloring and texture related projects.  Elementary bible songs are introduced as well as seasonal rhymes and finger-plays.  At years end children should recognize six letters, numbers 1-4 and be able to count to ten.
